Updated October 5, 2026. Food service at Nickerson Beach is seasonal and can change by day, weather and event schedule. Nassau County’s current park page does not publish a guaranteed concession menu or daily operating hours, so call 516-571-7700 before relying on food being available.
At the park
The park has historically offered casual beach food and snacks near the recreation area. Treat any specific vendor, menu or schedule mentioned in older articles as archival unless Nassau County confirms it for the current season.
Bringing food
Pack water and any food you need for the day, especially outside peak summer periods. Dispose of trash properly and follow posted rules for grills, picnic areas and alcohol. Reserved picnic areas and alcohol require separate county permits; parking and pool admission are not included in a picnic permit.
Nearby options
Lido Beach, Long Beach and Point Lookout have restaurants, delis and takeout options, but businesses and hours change. Check current listings directly rather than relying on older recommendations.
